WHAT TO BRING

BELOW IS EVERYTHING YOUR DANCER NEEDS

PRE-TEENS

MAKE UP

Stage makeup needs to be heavier than normal day makeup. Please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.

Apply make-up base. Foundation needs to be darker than what their normal shade would be.

Apply pinkish tone blush to cheekbones.

Apply brown eye shadow on lid – work from the inside corner along the lash line & finish with a gold on the inner lid.

Define the eyes with black eyeliner pencil. Use along the top and bottom lash lines.

Add lots of black mascara to both top and bottom lashes.

Fake eyelashes for teens and seniors (if you'd like)

Apply red lipstick.

If you have an more extensive makeup routine please feel free to do that just make sure you are using the colours we require above.

HAIR

UPDATED HAIRSTYLE FOR PHOTO DAY & CONCERT

All dancers must have their hair parted down the middle and slicked into a ponytail at the centre back of the head.

For ballet routines, hair must be in a neat bun (still parted down the middle).

Use plenty of hairspray or gel and a fine-tooth comb to achieve the slick look — you may need multiple elastics for hold.

Please use an elastic the same colour as your child’s hair, and secure flyaways neatly with fringe pins or bobby pins.

For boys, neat and tidy hair is all that’s required — no colours or crazy hairstyles, please.

Costume Distribution

Costumes will be distributed to students the week of Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th November, in the lead-up to Concert Day on Saturday 15th November. Costumes will only be handed out if all costume deposits have been paid.

Please ensure your child brings their costumes to the concert venue themselves on Concert Day, packed neatly in their garment bag.

After the concert, please keep costumes in their garment bags and don’t use them again until Photo Day (Saturday 22nd – Sunday 23rd November). Store them in a closet, away from direct sunlight and heat, to keep them looking pristine for photos.
